Glasses-Free Sports Vision with Flow3 Laser Eye Surgery

Better peripheral vision. Although sports glasses can have large, wrap-around lenses, most prescription glasses have small, relatively flat lenses and narrow frames. This significantly limits peripheral vision, which is essential for many sports.

An unobstructed field of view. Glasses-free vision offers a wide, unobstructed field of view, as frames do not block or distort what you see. You can take in more of your surroundings and react more quickly to objects approaching you and to other players around you. You can also more easily see and respond to ground balls or other objects at your feet.

Less risk of fogging or splashing. Unlike glasses, contact lenses or your own natural eyes after the Flow3 procedure typically remain clear regardless of the environment or weather conditions, such as rain.

Less risk of injury. Glasses can shatter under a hard impact and cause eye injuries, whereas contact lenses cannot.

More stable vision. When wearing glasses, you may notice the frames shifting slightly with each step. You may also experience visual disturbances when running with glasses. With contact lenses or non-cutting Flow3 eye surgery, you also do not need to worry about glasses slipping down your nose or falling off.

Better compatibility with safety equipment. In sports that require headgear or protective eyewear, contact lenses do not interfere with the fit or comfort of that protective equipment.

KSA Silmakeskus offers consultations for sports vision and performs non-cutting, non-touch Flow3 laser procedures designed primarily for those who play sports or lead an active lifestyle. The Flow laser procedure is the most up-to-date alternative to LASIK and Femto LASIK, offering flap-free cornea (the eye's clear front layer) procedures among the latest available options.
