Famous Estonian Actors Choose Flow3 Laser Surgery

The Phone Call That Started a Legend

"I can see like an animal!" Juhan Ulfsak shouted down the phone at one in the morning to his procedure nurse at KSA Silmakeskus. It sounds like the opening of a horror film, but the beloved Estonian actor was simply bursting with joy after his laser eye surgery. He had to tell someone—immediately—about his spectacular new vision.

That genuine, unscripted excitement became the catchphrase of one of KSA's most memorable campaigns. For years afterwards, patients would joke with us, repeating that same line. But behind the humor was something real: Juhan Ulfsak was genuinely thrilled with his decision to correct his shortsightedness at KSA Silmakeskus.

From Stage Frustrations to Crystal Vision

Other leading figures from Estonian theatre have made their way to KSA too. Three years ago, actor and television presenter Sander Rebane decided to have his eyes treated. He'd been wearing contact lenses for nearly a decade, and the daily logistics were wearing him down—where to buy them, how long he could safely wear them, keeping everything hygienic. On stage, things got messy.

"It's not funny, it's tragic really," Sander laughs, "though like theatre itself, tragedy and comedy go hand in hand. There were times during performances when a contact lens would slip out of place and disappear somewhere behind my eye. Right there on stage, mid-performance, I'd have to try and nudge it back without the audience noticing. It was quite the ordeal."

The real turning point came later. "The most amazing moment after the procedure was when I finally went swimming. For the first time in my life, I could open my eyes underwater without lenses and actually see. That's when it hit me—my eyes are actually fixed. It's worth doing, honestly. This is life-changing."

Overcoming Stage Blindness

Actress and director Adeele Jaago had spent years battling poor vision on stage. "I was essentially watching my fellow actors through fog, stumbling around in the wings in the dark. My contact lenses would slip constantly, and the problems just kept piling up. Without glasses or lenses, being on stage became a major problem. When everything's blurry, you can't concentrate, and that's a horrible feeling," she recalls.

Adeele chose KSA Silmakeskus for her procedure because of the clinic's long track record and strong reputation. "I have several good friends and colleagues who've had successful surgery here," she explains.

Now, with clear vision, Adeele's only regret is that she didn't do it sooner.

Why These Professionals Trust KSA

There's a pattern here. Actors live in their bodies. They demand precision, reliability, and freedom of movement. They can't afford complications. When Estonia's most demanding professionals—people who perform night after night under pressure—choose Flow3 laser surgery at KSA, that tells you something.

It's the same reason our entire clinical team chose Flow3 for their own eyes. We've performed over 55,000 procedures since our founding. Dr. Ants Haavel and his team didn't recommend something they wouldn't use themselves.

If vision freedom matters to you the way it matters to those who perform on stage—whether that's literally or just in the demands of daily life—we're worth a conversation.
