Flow3 Results 10 Years Later: Real Patient Stories

What Happens to Your Vision Years After Laser Surgery?
Can your eyes stay stable for 10, even 20 years after laser correction? Or does vision change over time?
We've discussed this with Dr. Ants Haavel, our lead surgeon. But the real story? It comes from our patients — people who've lived with their results for nearly a decade or more.
Kristina Koppel had Flow3 laser eye surgery almost nine years ago. She's a copywriter by trade, works with text and content across different projects, and does the same in her spare time because she loves it. Crossfit training is non-negotiable in her week. She also bakes, creates desserts, and spends time outdoors whenever she can.
We asked her to look back on her procedure.
"My vision hasn't changed in 9 years"
Is your vision today as good as it was right after your laser surgery in early 2014?
Yes. My vision has stayed exactly as good as it was immediately after the procedure. At my occupational health check-ups, my visual acuity is flawless. I can always read the smallest line.
Have you had any vision problems in all these years? Anything that needed fixing?
No. Not once in nine years.
Do you regret having the surgery? Would you recommend it?
I'm extremely happy with it. Honestly, having the laser surgery was one of the best decisions of my life. My quality of life changed dramatically.
The Journey: From Sceptic to Advocate
When I first thought about eye surgery, it seemed impossible — completely out of reach. After 10 years wearing contact lenses, my eyes stopped tolerating them. They became extremely sensitive. I genuinely believed the lenses had damaged my eyes permanently, and that laser surgery wouldn't even be an option for me.
I was wrong.
When I came in for a consultation at KSA, they explained I had no contraindications. My fears were unfounded. So I went ahead. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat. If you're worried, still come in for a consultation — this procedure genuinely changes your life.
Daily Life: Then and Now
Before surgery, I wore glasses with a prescription of –4.57 in one eye and –5 in the other. Everything changed after that.
Waking up and actually seeing clearly — no scramble for glasses as the first thing in the morning. Sport became genuinely enjoyable. No discomfort from frames or the fear of lenses falling out at the pool or sauna. I can even recognise people I know without squinting.
It's freedom, honestly. The small moments matter.
