By day four, it was wonderful to wake up without discomfort. My vision got sharper every single day. What struck me most was how quickly everything came back together. Within a week of the procedure, I could do everything I wanted. No restrictions at all."

The real freedom: travel and sport

For someone who loves to travel and explore, glasses-free life is genuinely transformative.

Ave discovered surfing during a three-month student exchange in Hawaii. She worked as a sales assistant but spent every free moment in the water—surfing, snorkelling, swimming. Activities like these were frustrating with glasses. Contact lenses in salt water? Uncomfortable and risky.

"Wearing glasses during training or any sport was awkward," she says. "Swimming, water sports, even just going to the pool—it was nearly impossible before. Now I can do all of it, as much as I want."

Water sports have always drawn her. During school, she swam competitively in pools and open water. That freedom, that ease in the water—it's finally hers again, permanently.
